With all the fear and uncertainty in the world right now, we could all use a little hope. That's what the Alta Hope Project is all about -- bringing hope through student-created art. Inspired by Brad Montague, creator of Kid President and author of Becoming Better Grownups, we asked our students to create a piece of art answering this question:
"What does hope look like?"
This wasn't a contest but rather an opportunity to share some hope with our community and the world. Students used crayons, colored pencils, markers, and sidewalk chalk. They painted. They took pictures. They wrote poetry. They danced. They created works of art that represent hope in their eyes. Below you'll find a photo gallery and video submissions below that. Enjoy their masterpieces -- we hope they brighten your day!
